Bringing together people and organizations in Central Brooklyn to organize around issues connected to our neighborhood food system. Join the food justice mailing list to stay up on what we’re doing.

Join the working group

Through our food justice working group, we bring together residents of Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights to plan for solutions that will strengthen heath equity in our communities. Here’s what our working group is doing:

  • Food Cooperative: Central Brooklyn residents will be organizing a community space that offers healthy and affordable foods while building a solidarity economy. Want to learn more and get involved? Here’s how.
  • Grub Parties: Potluck gatherings where we engage residents of Central Brooklyn in conversations around inequities that exist within the food system.

Come be part of organizing community discussions around food! Be part of starting a food co-op located in Central Brooklyn! Email [email protected]org to join!

Food Justice Toolkit

We believe Food Sovereignty is the right of communities everywhere to produce, process, distribute, access, and eat good food regardless of race, class, gender, ethnicity, citizenship, ability, religion, or community. This toolkit provides food system resources available to Central Brooklyn residents through multiple lenses.
