Black Women’s Blueprint: As an organization committed to amplifying the voices of women of African descent in all their diversity, Black Women’s Blueprint provides the personal and political spaces as well as the resources needed for women to engage in intersectional advocacy at the grassroots and societal level. The organization’s largest initiative is its Truth Commission developed to address sexual violence, a Gender Justice Fund and Black HerStory Project affirm the Black historical context as inextricably linked to the current state of affairs for women in Black communities and the persistent cultural norms and policies that continue to negatively impact their lives. Girls for Gender Equity: Girls for Gender Equity (GGE) is an intergenerational grassroots organization committed to the physical, psychological, social, and economic development of girls and women. Collective Action for Safe Spaces: Collective Action for Safe Spaces (CASS) strives for a community in which people of all backgrounds, gender expressions or identities, and experiences can feel safe occupying public spaces. In this community, individuals will hold themselves accountable to each other and to the community at-large for preventing public gender-based violence and fostering a safe and harassment-free environment free of the negative influences of power and control.
