Food Sovereignty
Bringing together people and organizations in Central Brooklyn to organize around issues connected to our neighborhood food system. Join the food justice mailing list to stay up on what we’re doing.
Central Brooklyn Food Coop
Through our food justice working group, we bring together residents of Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights to plan for solutions that will strengthen heath equity in our communities. We are currently organizing to open a food cooperative that offers healthy and affordable food while building a solidarity economy.
Learn more about the food co-op and how to get involved on the Central Brooklyn Food Co-Op Website.
Food Justice Toolkit
We believe Food Sovereignty is the right of communities everywhere to produce, process, distribute, access, and eat good food regardless of race, class, gender, ethnicity, citizenship, ability, religion, or community. This toolkit provides food system resources available to Central Brooklyn residents through multiple lenses.
