BMC’s Anti-Street Harassment Working Group occupied Potomac Playground (on Tompkins between Halsey & Macon) to listen to the experiences of local women and men. As we know, street harassment incidents are experienced differently, depending on who, what, where, when, and how. However, we want EVERYONE to be aware of each other’s tolerance levels.
To begin building community solidarity around street harassment, we collected stories, wrote chalk messages, and handed out these palm cards:
